We believe cities can grow more of their own food — one balcony, terrace and home garden at a time.

Plenty of people in Chennai have tried a home garden. Kits get bought, a season goes well, and then it quietly stops — usually not for want of effort, but because nobody was there for the awkward parts. The plant that won't fruit. The tree nobody can climb. The week the whole crop arrives at once.

Urban Arva is an attempt to be there for those parts — setting a garden up properly, helping keep it going, finding the person who can climb the tree, and making sure a good season has somewhere to go.

Our first goal is to work closely with a small group of Chennai households, understand what they actually need, and build Urban Arva around real gardens. You won't find garden counts or testimonials here until there are real ones to show.

What happens to what you send us

The forms on this site do not send anything to a server. Filling one in opens WhatsApp with your answers written out as a message, and nothing reaches us until you press send there.
Your name, area and what you told us are used only to reply to your enquiry and to work out which neighbourhoods to open in. We don't sell or share them.
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and sections people actually read. It sets cookies in your browser to do that, and Google processes the visit as a service provider.
What analytics never receives is anything you type. Your name, phone number, area and any message stay out of it — we deliberately send only fixed values such as which page you were on, whether you were reading in Tamil or English, and which link brought you here.
Your language choice is remembered in your own browser. That never leaves your device.
